Formula & Explanation

EPF Balance = Existing Balance × (1 + r/12)^n + Σ Monthly Contribution × (1 + r/12)^(n-i)

EPF interest is compounded monthly at the declared annual rate (currently 8.25% for FY 2025-26). Both employee (12% of basic) and employer (3.67% to EPF, 8.33% to EPS) contributions are added monthly. The interest is calculated on running balance including new contributions.
